Dear Friends, cyclists, (the serious ones and those not so serious…ha ha) supporters, sponsors and parents,………

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter to you. We have set the dates for our trials, arranged accomodation and the only thing left for u to do is to get on the bike, train hard and… LOOK FORWARD to a fun packed weekend with all the deaf cycling ‘gurus’ present, stories from Taiwan, slide shows and GOOD company.

1. Complete a expression of interest form 2009 DEAFLYMPICS and sent to us ASAP (DOESN’T MATTER IF U DID FOR SEPT TRIALS… WE NEED A NEW APL FORM FROM U !!!

2. Arrange to be in Cape Town on Fri 30 Jan 2008 (we will pick u up at airport,bus terminus, or u drive to Belville,close to Tygervalley Centre) Depart on 1 Feb Sun Afternoon/eve or 2 Feb Mon morning

3. Tell us if u come; alone or with a supporter

4. Tell us about your traveling arrangements eg. Arriving… by car, plane, bus and leaving …Sun afternoon or Mon morn by plane bus or car….

PS We will try our best to help with sponsoring accomodation and transport. (will keep u informed)

5. We are in the process of preparing a team to compete with the worlds best deaf cyclists…. U should be aware that standards are high and that there would be no“handouts”, you should be able to prove your dedication to the committee (theywant to see MEDALS…in Taipei.)

6. I want to invite u to be part of our activities even if it means that u would stand at the side, with me, to encourage the best amoungst us!!

7. Races: 35km TT SAT 31 Jan +/-10am,

88km Road race Sun 1 Feb will be early 6-7am
